SO I often begin an art class with a silly story that we all make up. Today we, in this case adults, stood in a circle and I began with, “There was a kingdom deep underneath the earth of magical creatures and the leader, named Thorka realized that ….” And then the next person went from there and we continued many rounds around the circle until we knew we were done. In this story, the gophers were part of that magical kingdom making their world out of tulip petals they had stolen from above, until one day their kingdom burned to the ground and the had to flee which led them to a whole new land and on it went.
Another fun way to get out of our heads and into our imaginations. A fun game for dinner time as well! The point is not to be deep and meaningful, but sometimes wisdom sneaks into the story. For without knowing how to laugh, where is true wisdom? : )
